Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team

Hello All,

✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅

This week the local Neighbourhood team have been working hard engaging with the local community. We have held several meetings with people that live in local areas to discuss their concerns and what sort of things they would like to see. This has been conducted in a controlled envirnoment in a location where the local residents can easily access. This was a great oppertunity for the Police to really understand the residents point of views as they have to live it everyday. We have also held a meeting at the opening of the Armed Forces Hub. This has allowed the Police to create new contacts that could improve our effectiveness when helping those in need. A speedwatch has also been conducted whereby the local PCSO and the volunteers are noting down speeding vehicles, as a result the drivers recieve warning letters about their speed. The Neighbourhood PC's have also been busy in th Town Centre, with stop and searches being conducted in relation to drugs. Arrests have also been made in the last week, allowing us to deal with the offenders that are offending within the town. Pro-active patrols also remain in place and engagements with members of public are still in place ensuring that we have the best knowledge of what is going on in the the town centre which is always good for our intel system.

📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅

More speedwatches are schedueled as usual to prevent speeding vehicles in hotspot areas around the St Matts ward. Other engagements with local residents are also set to take place to continue our undertanding or concerns that the local residents may have. The local PC's and PCSO's will remain vigilant within the town centre to ensure that the town can be as safe as possible for members of public and visitors when they come into the town. We are also planning to conduct ASB patrols in different housing schemes with the department staff who manage those buildings, this is to ensure that the housing schemes are a safe place to be and that no issues are being caused.
